Vamso Biotec Pvt. Ltd. traces its roots back to 1969, when it was founded by Dr. Ved Prakash Agrawal (Ayurvedic doctor) and Dr. O.P. Agarwal (Veterinarian) as a partnership firm in Sirsaganj, Uttar Pradesh. The company established its first manufacturing plant in Sirsaganj and, over the following decades, pioneered the concept of herbal ecbolics. It developed a wide range of herbal formulations focused on the well-being of cattle and the agricultural industry.

In 1992, the second generation joined the business, leading to the incorporation of Cattle Remedies India Limited (CRIL). As many of the company’s products gained popularity in India, exports began to the Asian market in 1995.

In the 2000s, Vamso expanded beyond cattle healthcare, forming Vamso Biotec Pvt. Ltd. in 2005 and merging CRIL into the parent company. The poultry division was launched the following year, introducing the flagship product Vamdia Forte. The company also established a second manufacturing unit and a modern R&D center in Dehradun.

In 2017, Vamso achieved the prestigious FAMI-QS certification, paving the way for exports to Europe, Africa, and Latin America. By 2020, the R&D center was officially recognized by the Department of Science & Technology. In 2024, the third generation joined the business, continuing to build on Vamso’s legacy of innovation and excellence.
